Embion has released version 5.7 of Embion EMS. The update introduces a local web interface, an off-grid mode, and improved reliability, in addition to a significant expansion of hardware support.
Release 5.7 adds a built-in web interface that does not rely on cloud connectivity. The interface provides a live system overview with real-time device data and direct system control, cascade status including downstream controllers, and insight into connected generators and maximum meter currents.
A new off-grid mode is available, configurable from the menu. Enabling it requires a confirmation step to ensure that the manual has been consulted. Off-grid control operates via a digital input or the inverter’s own reported status, which provides greater flexibility for installations without a separate digital input.
The analog output of the IO module now supports 4–20 mA signals, in addition to the existing voltage-controlled output. Generators can now also be controlled via an analog output, which expands integration options in industrial installations.
Version 5.7 significantly expands hardware support with more than twenty new integrations. In addition to the additions listed below, various bug fixes and improvements have been implemented.
