Electric charging requires a smart and integral approach. Therefore, the Embion EMS is fully integrated with the chargers of DIC Charging Systems. With this integration, charging stations become part of one central energy system, in which charging is automatically matched to total energy consumption and available capacity.
In this integration, we highlight the DIC charging station 50122. This is one of the models from DIC Charging Systems. All chargers from DIC Charging Systems are integrated with the Embion EMS.
The DIC 50122 is a 2-gang AC charging column with two Mennekes Type-2 connections and a flexible charging capacity of up to 2x11 kW or 1x22 kW. This charging station is widely used in locations where multiple vehicles charge simultaneously, such as business parks, residential complexes and semi-public environments.
By linking to the Embion EMS, charging is no longer controlled separately, but part of the total energy management. The EMS continuously monitors on-site energy consumption and automatically adjusts the charging capacity to stay within the limits of the grid connection. This prevents peak loads and keeps the plant operating stably.
The combination of DIC charging solutions and the Embion EMS ensures that charging always takes place within what is possible at the time. Instead of fixed charging capacities, the available power is distributed dynamically.
Here, the EMS looks not only at the charging stations, but at the entire installation. Other consumers and generators are included in the control, thus distributing energy more intelligently and avoiding unnecessary load on the grid. This makes the solution particularly suitable for locations where multiple energy flows converge.
When solar energy is available, the Embion EMS can automatically adjust the charging process accordingly. Instead of feeding energy back into an overloaded grid, energy is used locally for vehicle charging.
This increases the efficiency of the power plant and contributes to a more efficient use of available capacity. Charging thus becomes not just a consumer, but a smart link within the total energy system.
The integration between DIC and Embion makes smart charging accessible without additional manual settings or separate systems. The charging stations function as part of one central control, together with, for example, solar panels, batteries and other consumers.
For you as an installer, this means a solution that is easy to install and manage, while responding to the growing demand for grid-conscious energy solutions.
