Smart AC Charging Powered by Ecotap and the Embion EMS

Smart charging within grid boundaries

AC charging fits this perfectly, provided the charging process is smartly controlled. By connecting the Ecotap AC chargers to the Embion EMS, charging is tuned to what is possible and desirable within the connection at that moment.

The EMS continuously looks at the total energy consumption on site and adjusts the charging capacity accordingly. In this way, the system prevents peak loads and ensures that charging takes place within the available grid capacity.

Locally generated energy

When solar energy is available, the Embion EMS can automatically adjust charging accordingly. Instead of feeding back to an overloaded grid, energy is harnessed locally for vehicle charging. This increases the efficiency of the installation and reduces the pressure on the power grid.
